About my Dolls
The dolls featured on my site are Ball-Jointed Dolls, they are often referred to as Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls, due to the fact that the dolls of this particular style are generally from Japan.
Volks of Japan were the first to coin the term Super Dollfie (a combination of the words Doll and Figure) since these dolls were cast out of Polyurethane Resin (the same material as garage kits).
If you are interested in learning more about this genre of dolls, here are some valuable sources of information.

Where to Buy
There are many places to purchase a BJD nowadays, wherever in the world you are from. Auction sites, retailers and the BJD companies themselves usually have their own online presence and stores. My advice would be to find out as much as you can about the dolls before you decide on purchasing one, not only because of the high prices, but there is just no point in bringing home a doll that you don't love.
Note that there are size differences, SD-sized (a reference to Volks Super Dollfie) are the larger BJDs running at approximately 60cm, with MSD-sized(mini super dollfie) coming in at approx 43cm, and then there are yo-sd/petite ai sized (which are approx 25cm and there are the tinies which clock in at 10-12cm...or less. Depending on which particular model & maker as the different brands dolls body shapes/sizes are all slightly different tho they still look great together.
Most importantly, a Dollfie is not the same as Super Dollfie or Mini Super Dollfie, Dollfies are plastic articulated dolls of approximately 27cm (about the size of a barbie doll) and tend to be much cheaper than BJDs... don't read Dollfie and assume its a large doll. Check first!!!
Some Auction sites.
Ebay
The most fun to browse is YahooJapan itself, with the fantastic customs (and prices!) but it can be daunting for someone who doesn't read japanese. here are some links from Yuzuko on DoA.
